HACCP is an acronym which means Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point..

It is a system that reduces and avoids the consumption of an unsafe food in order to prevent public health problems.

It applies technical and scientific principles so that food is prepared/ingested in a way that do not cause harm to the consumer. HACCP is a preventive methodology that is applied from the producer to the consumer.
